Little rubber stamps.

Song lyrics just seem so much cooler when they’re spelled out across a canvas in rubber stamps. As tedious as painting each individual stamp was before pressing it down on the wood, i’m obsessed with its outcome. The gramophone is just a simple tribute to one of the greatest tools in music.

Housewife

For all you hard rockers out there.

A recent commissioned piece for a friend of mine, it takes me back to my days of listening to WAAF and mistress Carrie. I can only hope Trent Reznor would be proud.

Fall 2010 Open Studios

Thanks Tracey.

My amazingly talented sign painting grandad has been inspiring me and helping me since I was a wee tot, to show my incredible appreciation I decided to make him a canvas of one of his most favorite things in the world, vintage trucks. He loved it. I’m happy.

The Blue Room

Thanks to James Weinberg for these oh so lovely silk screened flyers. Can’t wait to share The Blue Room with some of my favorite people. Get your bums to The Blue Room everyone!

South Boston Open Studios

“The Distillery in South Boston kicks-off the Summer Art Season of 2010 with its annual Spring Open Studios on Sunday, June 6th, noon-6pm.”

“As a long-standing focal point of the arts in Boston, The Distillery continues to support a community of high-quality artists and craftspeople. Twice a year, this amazing and unassuming brick building in Southie proves to be a one-stop destination for art-seekers as dozens of studio doors open up to invite the public in. Visitors can mingle with creative types, tour the unique environments in which various forms of artwork are produced, and make purchases directly from the artists.” ….Plus i’m in it!

Warhol inspired.

Aside from Bankys, Andy Warhol has forever been an inspiration of mine. His post modernistic approach and play off everyday items such as a soup can fascinate me. So, I decided to take it upon myself to do a bit of “Warhol-ing” myself.

it’s a process.

A good friend of mine inspired me to do an old fashioned popcorn box with yellow krink as the excessive amount of butter dripping down the box. Personally I think it’s a superb idea, and the process and results came out cooler than i expected. Thanks Rahul.

And then this of course transitioned into popcorn number 2…
